Colors and Your Website

Eiseman once said that “Of all the forms of nonverbal communication, color is the most immediate method of conveying messages and meanings.” Yes that is right.

It has often been said that the color of the website should coordinate well. But when browsing the network can see many websites that have horrible color combinations. Good color is essential to the success of a website such as color adds interest and flavor. Can be used to highlight important messages and can draw a visitor’s attention to important elements.

The colors have different effects on people. Certain colors can invoke certain emotions to people and these emotional reactions can affect the image of your company. All that can trigger responses in people must be watched carefully in the design of your website. There are some things to consider when choosing the right colors for your site to avoid any mishap.

• Use colors wisely. Black and white is best used in the text and background colors. Black and yellow can also be very good contrast. However, a site made entirely in yellow or black not really attractive.

• When choosing colors for your background and text, make sure the colors you choose are the contrasts. You can use a dark color for text on light color background. Do not use similar colors for text and background. You should be very careful in contrasting colors as some tend to “vibrate” as red text on a blue background. This can damage the eyes of some people.

• Simple color options are often better. When in doubt about the colors you can always use black and white as they are easy to read and does not hurt your website.

• Avoid using patterned backgrounds as they seem to be noisy and tends to distract your website. Although it may seem cute and fun, which are often very difficult to read.

In general, you have to ensure that the colors used are nice and attractive to the eye. Choose colors that best reflect the image you want to give your visitors. Do not use normal intensity images as background color behind the text. And be sure to use a uniform color on all pages to create a brand for your site.
