Choosing the Correct Keyword Density
In years gone by, it was thought that the more times a keyword appeared in an article, the better chance the article had of being ranked higher in search results. Known as keyword stuffing, this practice is not only frowned upon by Google, it is one of the quickest ways to discourage visitors from spending time on your website. After choosing appropriate keywords, using them in a density ratio of between 0.5% and 2% is usually considered acceptable. As an example, in an article containing approximately 500 words, your chosen keyword should appear anywhere between 2 and 10 times.
Although choosing the best keywords for your site may seem time-consuming, your efforts will be rewarded by higher volumes of visitor traffic and increased revenues. This will go a long way in helping improve your search ranking status with most major search engines.
